Booked a 2 night relaxation stay at this hotel as it also offers a pool and spa treatments. I was able to use my points to treat myself even further and booked the junior suite which was lovely……that was until it got to the night where the noise and vibration of the Christmas fair (boom…boom..boom!!!!) became annoying and even though the fair stopped at 10 pm it unsettled us for the night as it had been a long day. Thankfully, the staff were empathetic to our needs and even though the noise was something out of their control, they offered us an alternative and more suitable room. Nothing was too much effort, the service was great! I loved the small touches like, a basket of treats which included chocolate, chocolate drink, eye masks etc, complementary drink tokens to the bottle of wine for supporting‘sustainability programmes’ and the 12pm check out. The pool was lovely and the lavender exfoliation was amazing! Worth the treat, really enjoyed, relaxed and invigorated

Great rooms. Well appointed and spacious, with good bathroom. Spa facilities good - pool superb, as is jacuzzi. Steam room could do with a bit of a tidy up. Breakfast good but items run out quickly and not replenished fast enough.

Nice hotel. Close to all the facilities of the city centre but not so close you can't get a restful night. Rooms are large, but a little badly designed. Huge bed, large mirror in from of the bed not needed ideal spot for the TV, TV pushed into a corner un viewable, bathroom would have preferred a large shower/wet room instead of a huge bath and tiny shower cubicle. Swimming pool a little wild wild west no directionly boards displayed for direction of swimmers, also the large columns along the length of the pool nightmare. The tray room charge for food delivered to the room I think is a little much and should be scrapped, considering how much the room cost and not everyone uses room service.

We stayed here last night and overall the experience was good. I would like to say that the reservations team and be Bieby especially were outstanding and purely because of the service he provided I will be coming back and I have rebooked via Bieby for August..the room was very spacious very clean and the amenities in the room were all excellent. The bed was huge and very comfy, the hotel was very clean and modern and the spa facilities were great too. And then it all fell apart with breakfast unfortunately. From arrival into the breakfast hall it was a shambles, we was shown to our table and offered tea/coffee and then left, no directions as to wether breakfast was self serve or if someone would come over to take our order (there was nobody queuing for food when we arrived) so after waiting a period for the tea and coffee that did not show we made our way up to the counter.a very small selection for such a large hote.l cold beans and no bacon as they was waiting for it to cook. Just scrambled egg as an option that my partner found inedible as it was very buttery. We was told that they would bring some bacon to our table. This never arrived..by this point we still have not received the tea/coffee that was ordered on the way in! We ate food and was just about to leave when it finally turned up. In honesty I would have had a better breakfast experience from Greggs and paid less for it. Was such a shame as the whole experience up antil breakfast had been very good. I will stay again but won't be paying the extra for breakfast next time.

We took my mum there for Sunday lunch 2 days ago and to say it was eventful would be an understatement. Firstly we sat in the bar area in a booth and even though we had be seen entering it took 15 minutes for the staff to even acknowledge us. When they come to take the order we had been sat for over half an hour and then didnt get our drinks for another 15 minutes after that. We had a bottle of prosecco and a lemonade, there were 3 of us and was asked how many glasses we would need and then when the waiter brought the wine glasses and lemonade the waiter dropped a wine glass which smashed and sent glass all over my mum, he apologised and got another glass, we had to ensure all glass shard were off the table and my mum. The waiter had then asked if we were ready to order our food to which we replied we had not been given menus (we were at an hour by now). We ordered our food and sat patiently for another half hour but in fairness the food was very tasty apart from the dessert, a very rubbery Pannacotta. We then asked for the bill which arrived in seconds, I went and paid the bill and relayed my concerns over the lunch to which I had an apology and a promise that they may be able to sort us out if we come back, little disappointed but left. As I was driving way I looked at the bill as I did think it slightly high realised they had charged me £50+ for a £30 bottle of prosecco, I turned the car around and went back to speak t a manager. The manager was apologetic but all he would offer for such a terrible experience was not to pay for the wine, I thought they could have gone one further baring in mind that in the bar that afternoon for the time we were in there was only 3 other people. I am very upset and disappointed by the whole experience and wanted to let others know what they could possibly expect, im hoping the Park Plaza will reach out and do the right thing but I doubt very much and if they do I will add to this review to let the readers know.
